Hands in the Soil (HITS) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being, with a deep commitment to ecological harmony. In response to the devastation caused by the wildfires in Altadena and across Los Angeles, HITS is mobilizing a Community Care Coalition to deliver holistic support to those in need.
Through our Healthy Homies initiative, we are partnering with health organizations, wellness practitioners, traditional cultural healers, and community leaders to establish pop-up wellness spaces. These spaces provide emotional, mental, and spiritual care for displaced individuals, families, and anyone impacted by this tragedy.
Our mission is clear: Take collective action and help the city heal ~ by creating inclusive spaces for holistic care.
In response to the Eaton wildfires, we are collaborating with community partners to provide free healing and wellness spaces for those impacted. Our offerings include:

At Hands In The Soil, we build community by connecting people with each other while addressing health, environmental, and self-care challenges in culturally relevant ways. Our community events create spaces where meaningful connections flourish and sustainable solutions emerge—your contribution, no matter the size, helps us continue cultivating these vital gatherings that nourish both people and community.
